Secure payment

Payment by Bank Card - Payment Partner: Stripe

Stripe meets the highest standards of online payment security!

Payments by bank card (Bleue, Visa, Mastercard) are made in full at the end of the order. All bank card payments are 100% secured by the Stripe platform, in accordance with French and international interbank security measures. Stripe allows the user to make online purchases safely and with peace of mind.

Your banking data is encrypted (SSL technology). It does not travel in clear text on the internet and cannot be intercepted. Your banking data (card number, expiration date…) is never communicated to us.

Is a payment with Stripe safe?

When making a purchase online equipped with Stripe, the entire transaction takes place on our banking site in encrypted mode. You temporarily leave the merchant’s site transparently to enter your banking details. This guarantees that: the merchant will never know your card number!

Stripe will not know the details of your purchases since only the total amount and the order number are transmitted to us by the merchant.

What security measures does Stripe use?

Stripe uses the standardized encryption system called “the SSL protocol.” This is shown, when you are on the payment page, by:

  • A closed padlock in the corner of your browser.
  • The https:// mode instead of http:// in your browser’s address bar.

When you switch from unencrypted to encrypted mode (and vice versa), browsers display a message warning you of the change. Check these elements before entering confidential data; it is a sign of security. To use the most powerful protocols, we recommend using the latest version of a browser.

Stripe uses the following methods to secure its payment pages:

  • All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256.
  • Stripe’s infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers operates independently, without sharing any sensitive information with Stripe’s main services.

Security at Stripe also includes the following certifications and licenses:

  • Level 1 PCI DSS certification Money transfer license in the United States
  • Compliant with the European DSP2 directive and strong customer authentication
  • SSAE18/ SOC 1 Type 1 and 2 reports E-money license in Europe

What information is required to use Stripe?

Stripe will ask you for the following information:

  • the bank card or private card number (15 or 16 digits)
  • the expiration date
  • the visual cryptogram (the last 3 or 4 digits on the signature strip of your card)

With the deployment of 3D Secure (recognizable by the logos “Verified By Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode”), your bank will also ask you during payment to authenticate yourself by entering confidential information on a webpage of your own bank.
